The Smaller the Better

Here at South Gate High School, we believe smaller is better.  We know that relationships are one of the key components of a successful high school. The small academy structure helps us to know each one of our students. .

South Gate High School has five career themed academies that include about 525 hundred students. Being part of an academy is like being part of a small school. Instead of getting lost in a crowd of 3300 students, you build a relationship with a small group of students and teachers. Throughout high school students take classes that are specifically designed based in the academy career focus.
