Marching Ram Band
Welcome to the South Gate High School “Marching Ram Band.” In this class we will focus on music preparation and performance through the medium of the marching band activity. The skills you will develop in this ensemble/activity will “fine tune” your current performance on your chosen instrument. Moreover, the skills (both musical and non-musical) gained here will help you for college level marching band participation.

SGHS Concert Band
Welcome to the South Gate High School Concert Band.  In this class we will focus on music preparation and performance through the medium of concert band literature. The skills you will develop in this ensemble will “fine tune” your current performance on your chosen instrument. Moreover, the skills (both musical and non-musical) gained here will help you for college level band participation.

Guitar
In this class, you will learn the essential skills needed to adequately play the guitar. Skills you will acquire include written notation, music theory, and technical performance attributes. Along the way, there will be ample opportunities to develop your own creativity on the guitar.
